The remodeling project added 45 new shops as well as an IMAX Theatre, a new food court and family amenities such as family parking, a new children’s play area and a family lounge. For the movie-goers
The state-of-the-art AMC Plaza Bonita 14 opened its doors in 2008 and is the second all-digital theater of its kind in the area. The complex contains a total of 14 theaters, some equipped with IMAX and 3D viewing technology. Special military pricing is also available for those who present a valid Military I.D. every day starting at 4 p.m.
For a quick bite to eat
The newly renovated food court, Café Terrace, recently reopened right next to the theater. Several new eateries were introduced including national chains such as Johnny Rockets, Nestle-Toll House Bakery and El Torito. The new food court also features yogurt and smoothie stands for those looking for a quick snack.
Just for the kids
PlaySpace is a brand new ocean-themed play area designed just for kids. In partnership with the Chula Vista Living Coast Discovery Center, the new play area is open to the public and features friendly sea creatures. Kids can also enjoy a one-of-a-kind view of more than30 exotic fish in the new aquarium.
Conveniently located just 15 minutes south of downtown San Diego and 10 minutes north of the International Border, Plaza Bonita is easily accessible and is one of San Diego County’s only indoor malls.
