The latest OurCity San Diego issue is finally out! Although the newly appointed San Diego Mayor Bob Filner takes the cover page, our very own city Mayor Ron Morrison is featured in a two-page spread article regarding the great National City Improvements. The article features an exclusive interview with our city mayor as he talks about what he’s done to make the city a “walkable city” for its residents and visitors.

“A city is kind of like a kid’s bedroom,” said [Mayor Ron] Morrison who took over as mayor in 2006,after 20 years on the city council. “It takes only a few minutes to tear it apart and a long time to put it back together. People that come to National City after being away for awhile are amazed at what is happening here.”

National City rated near the top for all categories, and was No. 1 for policies and implementation.

New additions to the National City hotels have made this city a great alternative to staying downtown, a wide array of the best restaurants in National City are within walking distance from each other and the newly expanded Plaza Bonita Westfield Center makes shopping for holiday gifts quick and convenient. Mayor Morrison states that “by making the city more accessible, we have turned it into a town with a family atmosphere”.  So whether you’re in town to play, shop or dine, you’ll feel right at home here in National City.
