National City — The National City Host Lions Club and the City of National City are proud to celebrate this year’s Independence Day by presenting the five- day 4th of July Carnival, from June 30 through July 4, at Kimball Park in National City (12th and D Street, National City, California 91950). This five-day festival begins on Thursday, June 30, and ends on Monday, July 4, with a spectacular fireworks display at 9:00 p.m.
For over 75 continuous years, the National City 4th of July Carnival has offered family-friendly entertainment to the San Diego region. The Carnival offers rides and games provided by Christiansen Amusements, booths with a diverse selection of foods from National City restaurants, the Miss National City Pageant, and the best firework show in the entire South Bay.
Among the organizations participating in this year’s Carnival are the Maytime Band Review Association, National City ARTS, the National School District, the National City Chamber of Commerce, and the Mabuhay Association.
